POV: It’s October 2022, Game Day at Indiana University – Go Hoosiers! You live in a D3 VIP Penthouse with your roommates and have a great view of Memorial Stadium.
9 AM – You check your phone and hit snooze. It’s the weekend, why am I waking up so early??
10:15 AM – Wake up for real this time - hearing your roommates in the living room getting excited about your game day plans. I could really use some more energy right now. You roll out of bed and walk into your brand-new kitchen and take an ice cold Celsius out of the fridge.
10:45 AM – You shower and get ready in your private bathroom. Can’t get over how much I love this walk-in shower. What should you wear? Candy stripes and Doc Martin’s seem like the vibe! You look out of the window to see tailgates already ramping up. I’m so glad I’m close enough to walk to the field later!
11:30 AM – Your roommates are finally ready! Time to head upstairs to the rooftop Sky Deck for VERVE’s tailgate cookout. You swing by your neighbor’s apartment and let them know to tag along. Love that we’ve already made so many friends at VERVE! After grabbing the elevator up to the rooftop amenity deck, you already feel the excitement settling in.
11:45 AM – Those burgers smell amazing! Your favorite VERVE employee is cooking up your game day munchies on the rooftop grill station. While you’re eating, you watch College GameDay on the Jumbotron and they are reviewing the IU vs Michigan projections- Hoosiers are predicted to win! Obviously.
12 PM – As you’re chillin’ in your cabana and chatting with friends, you notice a cornhole board just opened up. You grab your crew and start making bets on who’s going to win. My partner and I got this W in the bag.
12:30 PM – After winning your cornhole game, you decide to head into the Sky Lounge for a game of Billiards- and some AC. Dang it is so hot for October! With TVs everywhere you look, you get to watch all your favorite non-IU teams playing. You see one of your friends in the Study Rooms cramming for an exam next week – They look like they need a break, let’s invite them to play games with us.
1:30 PM – After cooling off in the Sky Lounge, you and your friends make the 5-minute walk to the stadium and tailgate fields. Music is bumping, vibes are immaculate, life is good.
3 PM – Game time! You take one last look at your beautiful home (VERVE) before walking inside Memorial Stadium. The student section is packed, you’re loving the energy - but dang this would’ve been a lot cozier watching poolside from the VERVE Jumbotron. First play of the game – TOUCHDOWN HOOSIERS!
6:45 PM – After an exciting game, and the Hoosiers pulling a win, you head back home wondering – how can this day get any better!?
6:50 PM – You get back to VERVE, but you and your crew are not ready to head to the apartment just yet. Someone in the group decides to take their pup to the Dog Park. Love playing with our furry friend!
7:15 PM – You are all tired from playing fetch with Fluffy, now you start to figure out dinner! Time to show off my Gordon Ramsey level cooking skills. While heading to the Grill Courtyard, you see your other VERVE friends and invite them to join you for dinner. Good thing the courtyard has a huge communal dining table!
7:45 PM – After an amazing dinner – Courtesy of yours truly – You and your friends decide to see what’s going on at the VERVE basketball court. There’s another group playing, so you decide to join them for a pick-up game.
9:00 PM – After beating your neighbors in basketball, you end the night with your friends by the firepit on the Sky Deck. Mmmm S’mores! Your favorite movie is playing on the Jumbotron, and the hot tubs are calling your name.
12 PM – You change into pajamas and set your alarm for your morning workout and sauna sesh at the rooftop Fitness Center. You’re about to fall asleep, but have one thing on your mind. You ask Siri to set a reminder.
“Siri, remind me to renew my lease at VERVE this week.”
12:01PM – Maybe two things on your mind.
